What is RePlay?

RePlay is a patented, carbon-negative, biobased asphalt preservation agent made from renewable agricultural resources. It extends the life of asphalt surfaces with applications every 3-5 years.

How does RePlay work?

RePlay penetrates 0.75-1.25 inches into the asphalt, enhancing ductility, water resistance, and bonding to increase pavement longevity by reversing oxidation and protecting against environmental factors.

How should RePlay be applied?

For large areas, use our specialized computer-controlled RePlay spray system. Our spray system attaches easily to a truck. For smaller areas, a hand pump sprayer can be used.

Does the surface need to be dry, clean, or above a certain temperature?

Yes, the asphalt must be dry and clean before applying RePlay. Ideal application conditions are when temperatures are above 40°F.

Where can RePlay be applied?

RePlay® is suitable for parking lots, streets, highways, rumble strips, airport runways, taxiways, sidewalks, trails, and tennis courts.

When should RePlay be applied?

Apply RePlay® between two months and four years after paving, ensuring the asphalt is free of volatile chemicals. Best results are achieved before significant degradation occurs.

Are there alternate applications/uses for RePlay?

RePlay® is designed for asphalt pavement but may have potential for other applications, such as roofing shingle preservation, pending professional testing.

How often should RePlay be applied?

Apply every four to five years on well-maintained roads, and every two to three years on fair condition roads. RePlay prevents further cracking and thermal stress but doesn't repair severe damage.

How long does RePlay take to cure?

RePlay® cures in at least 30 minutes, depending on temperature, humidity, and surface density. Traffic reopening is at the applicator's discretion.

What is the recommended application rate?

Apply at 0.015-0.030 gallons per square yard, depending on temperature, surface degradation, pavement age, and material.

Does RePlay have a strong odor or pose inhalation risks?

RePlay® has a citrus scent and is non-toxic. While safer than petroleum-based products, inhalation of any road treatment is not recommended.

Will RePlay make the road more slick?

Initially, RePlay® may be slick, but it bonds quickly and increases pavement friction once cured, improving safety.

How can RePlay save money?

RePlay® saves on labor, materials, and traffic disruptions by requiring fewer applications and reducing the need for crack sealing or pothole patching, ultimately extending the asphalt lifespan.
